The Tessenderlo site is located in the heart of Europe and produces ethylene dichloride (EDC) and vinyl chloride monomer (VCM), two important raw materials for the production of PVC. Other important products include caustic soda (NaOH) and potassium hydroxide (KOH), basic chemicals that our customers use to manufacture a wide range of end products for everyday use.

The EDC and VCM produced in Tessenderlo is transported to Vynova’s production sites in Beek (Netherlands), Mazingarbe (France) and Wilhelmshaven (Germany), where it is processed into PVC through a polymerisation process. The Tessenderlo site is very well located and has excellent connections to logistics facilities and export markets. The site is connected to our plant in Beek via a pipeline, to our site in Mazingarbe via a rail link and to our plant in Wilhelmshaven via a shipping connection.

Vynova Belgium also offers a wide range of operational services to other companies located on the site, such as the Tessenderlo Group and Valtris AO Belgium.

Although Vynova itself is a young company, the history of our Tessenderlo site goes back more than 100 years. Since 1892, it has grown from a small chemical processing plant to one of the region’s most important employers, with 600 dedicated employees.
